ABOUT US

We Matter

The District of Columbia Area Black Deaf Advocates (DCABDA) is the leading advocacy 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization of the Black Deaf community in the Washington metropolitan area.  Since 1981, we unapologetically endeavor to dismantle the artificial and institutional barriers that have and continue to hamstring the advancement of our community.

Mission

We strive to close the wealth, political and educational gaps in the metropolitan area through advocacy, education and service.  Simultaneously, we aim to advance the interests of our community.

Vision

A world where the Black Deaf people are embraced as full members of society in every community.
